As I left Dallas, bound for Papua New Guinea via Australia, after a recent trip to the US, I thought this was a fitting sight to see as I said goodbye. There was a storm coming, and as the orange sun sank into the horizon, it plunged every surface into a reflection of this brilliant colour.

    The pic looks nice. Rebecca, when you have the chance to travel again, I suggest you spend a few days in Noumea. I just returned from there. Someone describes it as little Paris.

      Thanks Thomas! I have been to New Caledonia, but only for a few days and it was for work so didn’t get much chance to explore.

    Dallas to PNG! The Sounds awesome! I have always wanted to go to PNG. I hope you write a lot about. Maybe hangout with some gun wielding tribes and such.

      Hey, thanks! Yeah, need to sit down and write a lot more about PNG – so many places to visit in this country, virtually tourist-free!

    Oh i LOVE sunsets and this one is quite intense! :) Really good shot!!
    plus i find the airports inspiring for some reason…am i the only one??
    I always have a lot of inspiring thoughts before and during the flight…this is why i couldnt leive without my phone note pad :)
